A KINDER WORLD THAN THIS
I just want a kinder world than this.
Where “how are you?” isn’t a formality,
and people don’t have to be strong just to survive the day.
Where help doesn’t come with conditions,
and kindness isn’t mistaken for weakness.
Where we don’t measure worth
by money, beauty, or fame,
but by how gently we treat what’s breakable.
I want a world where we don’t scroll past pain,
where silence isn’t our only way of coping,
where children aren’t born into chaos
and still have to smile for pictures.
I want a world where being good isn’t rare,
where love doesn’t need an audience,
where “different” doesn’t mean “less.”
I know it’s not much to ask.
just a world that remembers how to care, love, feel,
that thinks before it judges,
that holds before it hurts.
Until then,
I’ll keep trying to be the kind I wish the world was.
