THERE'S BEEN LIFE

 What a life of ups and downs mine has been,

Truly, it's uneasy being human.

I've been through pain, hurts, tears, sadness, traumas, heartbreaks and emotional breakdowns, yet the Almighty has been faithful to His son.

Indeed, God is enough, he's been good, great and he's been God.

His love and grace has helped me scale through the stormy seas of life, He has been my peace in the face of troubled waters, my comforter in Chaos.

What would I have been?

What would have become of me?

But for Him, the devil would've made fish barbecue outta me,

But for Him, I would've been laid six feet under the surface,

But for Him, who knows, I could be gnashing my teeth in the great beyond.

I am guilty, filthy and stained, yet He loves me,

I am a man born of sinful nature, yet He cares for me,

I am an unfaithful son, yet He is faithful even in my unfaithfulness. 

For He cannot deny himself, He is God and He is good. 

His grace upon my life too plenty, no be small,

Baba too merciful, no be childs.

No be say I dey deserving of His loving-kindness, but Baba don canopy me with love.

Dios mío, I'm forever thankful for everything, life, health and wellness, everything I'm thankful,

Actually, my thanks is tank full.

Thank you for extra love, extra grace, extra mercy, extra compassion, extra kindness, extra strength, extra wisdom, extra miracles and extra daily bread on my table.

Rey de Reyes, to me, you're a father, friend and God, can't lie

Your mercy and grace dey blow my mind, walai.

Lord, I can't thank you enough,

If only words could suffice,

But in my own words, I say, thank you for life,

I pray for more grace to bask in your graciousness.

And I pray for more mercy and grace to always dwell and abide in your love and shadow, all the days of my fleeting life...

Amen.
