A POEM ABOUT YOU
Yesterday I wrote a poem, it was about you,
to you, I dedicated a poem, days before that too.
But it was never about your enchanting beauty,
Or your mantrap butty.
Nor about your pretty face,
It wasn't about how many guys are on your case,
Neither was it about your happiness and laughter,
And how it makes your worries to scatter.
I penned a poem, it was about you,
It was about your heart,
And how beautiful it is, like a masterpiece of God's art,
It was about your smile and how it makes the grey sky turn blue,
It was about how your love got me stock, like a glue.
I'm writing a poem, this poem is about you,
it's about you being a lady of virtue,
it's about how unique you are,
it's about how your face shines brighter than a million stars.
See, I'm writing a book,
this book is about how, most times you prefer to snack, rather than cook.
I'm writing a story, a story about you,
well, dunno what to write yet,
but my phone and fingers are all set
to ink down splendiferous rhymes and play with 'em like a pet.
