EMANCIPATION

painful, excruciating and torturing as far as I could tell,

working with chains on as our masters burst forth the laugh of hell;

From our land they stripped us away

And given bricks to lay,

Treated like animals,

we thirst for water, but received chemical.

Toiled day in, day out,

we were like toys to be played with, punching bags... clout

Dieing slave's ain't nothing in their eyes,

They say "We're your God" lies

Bones and cadavars hanging everywhere,

Skulls and skeletons hanging on trees like a showcase, try not to visualize lest you drop a tear.

The preacher man said " Be a good slave and obey your master" Hilarious right?

How can one be good and obedient to a master

who treats you like a monster?

Chained, bound, stripped of self will, leaving in bondage

Our forefathers lived and died as slaves,

Again, history is repeating itself,

Slavery isn't our history,

Slavery interrupted our history.

Here we are contemplating whether to wait for, or take freedom for ourselves.

But until then, we'll just sit back and pray for the day of Emancipation.
